Coach Conrey, I want to thank you for all you have done for Joseph and I. Joseph had two great years on the varsity and not a single bad snap and you deserve the credit for what he accomplished. You taught him well. Our Houston football district does not have a category for All District LS, but if they did, he would be the unanimous selection! You are doing great work as you are helping a lot of young men figure out life. You worked wonders on my son, Joseph. God Bless you, my friend! Dr. Joe Mandola Son Joseph, Houston Memorial

Eric Mannheimer
Coach

The first time I meet Coach Conrey was in 1975, as a freshman football player at Churchill High School. As a retired coach myself, I know coaching Freshman was very challenging, but he made it look so easy. He had a passion for the game of football, as well as a zest for life. As a successful high school coach, he has accumulated his vast knowledge for the game and has created a program that builds winners on and off the field. Coach Conrey has developed a system of training long snappers that has proven to be very successful. He is a master technician in teaching the art of football snapping and has refined the skills needed to be successful as a long snapper at every level of football, from Youth League to the NFL! His passion and commitment to this training surpasses any that I have seen throughout my time coaching football. If you or your son are interested and serious about the position of long snapping, this training is a must! My son, Reeve Brown has been long snapping since he was in Middle School. We made the decision to invest in his skills because the skill set that he needed was unique. Being a former High School Coach/ Special Teams Coordinator at several schools, even I did not have the technical knowledge of snapping. Coach Conrey at Texas Long Snapping has this knowledge and a very precise process. If your son is a snapper, he needs this training. There is no doubt that this skill played a role in the decision of the Head Coach at Angelo State University, when he offered Reeve a Football Scholarship. Thank you, Doug Conrey. We brought our son Kory Garcia to you in January of 2022. He was extremely interested in long snapping, but due to an injury he experienced in 2021 we were unable to bring him sooner. In 9 months after starting his training with your program he was the starting long snapper at Cornerstone Christian High School. As he continued his journey with your program, he started getting the confidence he needed to look beyond High School and possibly long snap in college. After his senior season he received multiple offers to play. He prayed long and hard and reminded himself of what you always said to him that "God already has a plan for you." He is proud and excited to be a part of the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor come this Fall of 2023. Thank you for all you've done for our son. As I grew up playing football, I always aspired playing at the highest level possible. As I got into high school, I realized I was not the biggest guy on the field, but I decided I would overcome that with putting my faith in God and hard work. I wanted to be on the field and help my team as much as possible. When I first started long snapping my Sophomore year of high school, I knew zero mechanics, form, and the aspect of how to train safely as well as with quality. When I first trained with Coach Conrey and Texas Long Snapping in the beginning of my Junior year (August 2021), I could see how much time and work they had put into teaching their students, as well as having the mindset that everything done was for a reason. As I continued to train and work hard, I could see how the fundamentals and mindset they had planted into me had set in during games, training, and hard times when the training and life got tough. As I continued to train hard, God truly blessed me. I credit Coach Conrey and his staff a lot in helping me achieve my dream of playing college football as I am now on a full-ride Division 1 scholarship to the University of Central Arkansas! Go Bears! Lisa and I can't thank Coach Conrey enough for the guidance and instruction provided to Colby over these past three years. From the first long snapping session with Coach Conrey, it was obvious that he took this specialist position very seriously and encouraged both athletes and parents to do the same. The six-step program developed by Coach Conrey, when deliberately adhered to by the player, is a time-tested recipe for success that works for athletes of any caliber. Along with the six-step program, Coach Conrey also instructs on the importance of nutrition, sleep habits, time management, academic accountability, and most importantly, mental and physical preparation. "Guys, turn your brain on and follow the six steps. When you do that, this skillset can pay for your college" are the words that resonated with us at that first session. Our initial intention in attending Coach Conrey's sessions after Colby's freshman year was to just find a way for Colby to eventually contribute on his high school varsity team. Standing 5'7" and 220 lbs. at the time, his eventual varsity prospects were looking bleak. After just ten months of training, as just a sophomore, Colby found himself as the starting long snapper for the varsity team in a meaningful late season game (and never relinquished it). It was at that moment when Coach Conrey's words began to sink in. I've never seen my son voluntarily dedicate as much time, effort, and energy on something as he has in working on improving his body condition and long snapping ability. Colby now has three D1 offers to play football, primarily due to the training and preparation provided by Coach Conrey and the Texas Long Snapping Staff. Not many "wide bodied", 5'10" athletes can say that - long snappers can. Thank you, Doug and Tucker, for being fantastic mentors, friends, and excellent examples of men with high character. Lisa and I will forever be grateful for the impact you've made on Colby. Thanks, Jeff and Lisa Connell Son, Colby, O.Connor High School Ranked #I Texas / #4 in USA San Antonio ALLSTAR Game 2023

It is my pleasure to recommend Doug Conrey and Texas Long Snapping to you. I have known Doug for many years and have seen his work firsthand both in teaching snapping as well as speaking at various events including the Alamo City Coaches Clinic and the Texas High School Coaches Association Annual Coaches Conference. His "Coaching School" presentations have been so well attended that he has been a Guest Speaker for 3 years in a row. No other College or High School coach has ever presented this many consecutive lectures in the 89-year history of THSCA! Doug has a passion for teaching snapping a football that is unmatched... not many guys around like him! Doug Conrey not only coaches "deep snappers," he coaches character and work ethic to every young man that wants to succeed at this beautiful game of football. The ability to "deep snap" is one of the deciding factors that made me one of the only two draft picks of the 1985 San Francisco 49ers that "made the team…" the other player was future Hall of Famer, Jerry Rice. I cannot stress enough, if your son or grandson wants to not only be a better football player at the high school level but has dreams of "getting to the next level," then sign him up to train with Texas Long Snapping! "Walking Parker Haby up to Texas Long Snapping two years ago was one of the best decisions Jennifer and I could have ever made. Coach Conrey doesn't just build great snappers. He builds men of faith and of great character. Parker wasn't the biggest or the fastest. But after one season with Coach Conrey he became the starting varsity snapper as a junior. He went on to have an offer to sign with Angelo State University before his senior year and is headed there in the fall of 2022. We as a family rely heavily on the verse Jeremiah 29:11. "For I know the plans I have for you..". God had great plans for Parker and we know that Texas Long Snapping and Coach Coney were a huge part of fulfilling those plans." "I have been with Coach Doug Conrey, the founder of Texas Long Snapping, for a little more than a year now. From when I started long snapping until now, I have made tremendous progress which has allowed me to sign with Blinn Junior College for the Fall 2022 football season. The long snapping skills that are taught, the drills that we do, and the overall experience has just been phenomenal. Coach Coney has been more than just a coach, he has been a mentor on and off the field. I seem to call him at least once a week just to check in with him and let him know how things are going. He has taught me and prepared me for the college level and I know his coaching will continue with me over the next four years, even if it's just over the phone. There have been times my mother has reached out to Coach Coney just to get his advice on some things; he didn't mind one bit and he always followed up. Coach Doug Coney & Texas Long Snapping have truly been a blessing for my family and me over the last year. Even though it was I that actually had to put the work in, I know I wouldn't be where I am today or where I'm going if it wasn't for Coach Conrey. He believed in me, pushed me to be a great long snapper, and taught me to be a better man in life. Of course, he jumps your case when you need it, but he's only trying to make you better and teach you the correct way to long snap. He always preaches about getting enough sleep, taking care of your body, and making sure your grades are good, but it's all for a reason. Joining Texas Long Snapping was the best decision my family and I ever made. I will forever be grateful to Coach Doug Conrey and I hope to make him proud as I enter collegiate football. Go Bucs!!" "Throughout my years of being a snapper, Coach Coney has taught and prepared me to perform at a Varsity and Collegiate level. Since I was in 8th grade, Coach kept building me up year by year and helped me develop both mentally and physically. His investment in me really pushed me to be the best I could every single day. Texas Long Snapping truly pushes you as an athlete and as a snapper through internal competition against fellow snappers, and oneself. Not only does his training develop you as a snapper, but as an overall athlete. Coach Conrey truly has built the best Snapping workshop in all of Texas. They have taught me valuable skills so I can have a great career in college and an even greater life. With that said I owe all my success and achievements to you." "I went into my freshman year of high school looking to play football for fun with no serious intent. However, when I was introduced to Long Snapping I immediately began to love football. Before I came to Coach Doug I was a skinny kid who could snap a football 10 yards. When I started attending Coach Doug's camps I noticed immediate improvement. I have now been with Coach Doug for 4 years and through these camps I have become a snapper that has been ranked 26th in the nation. This is thanks to Coach Doug, he will make you a collegiate snapper but will also teach you a lot about the mental game of sports and life. I learned a lot from Coach Doug and you could too!!" I wanted to thank you for continuously working with me and believing in me, and doing everything you can to physically and mentally prepare myself to be a great athlete, student, and man. You've been training me since 8th grade and I wouldn't want to be coached by anyone else!! I never thought I could meet someone whohas the same love and passion for this unique football position. "I joined Texas Long Snapping going into my junior year of high school, and it was one of the best decisions I've ever made. I came in as a kid who didn't know much about long snapping other than my school needed one and that it was a great way for me to start on varsity. I left being a two-year starter and being the best man, athlete and Christian I could be. Coach Conrey is one of the best coaches I've ever had! His commitment and care for his athletes are second to none and he truly pushes us to be our best at all times, not just to make us better athletes, but also better men on and off the field. TXLS's program is not just about the physical parts of snapping, but it also heavily incorporates your mental toughness into everything you do. Coach Corey is truly in a league of his own when it comes to coaching. I have been to a few other camps and Coach Coney soars above every other Long Snapping coach I know. I highly recommend Texas Long Snapping to anyone who is looking for their way onto the field at any level. With Coach Conrey's help and the great community of Texas Long Snapping, you won't only become a great snapper but also a great athlete, man, and Christian." "When I first started training with Coach Conrey, I was in the 6th grade, and I didn't know anything about long snapping. The passion that Coach Conrey has about snapping was something that I had never seen before. From learning about the 6-step snapping process to your breathing techniques when you're about to snap, all of these work in game time situations. What you learn from Coach Conrey isn't just about football, it's about life as well. Coach Conrey teaches his players that no matter how much pressure you have, always be calm and everything will be okay and workout. He focuses on every athlete he has and will work with you on your strengths and weaknesses and make the weaknesses into strengths. You will see improvements in weeks if you listen to Coach Coney and do his workouts on your own. Outside of football he has been there for me when I had rough times and he is one of the best coaches that I have been around. He teaches so much about life, like the breathing techniques he teaches that I use when I am about to take a test or even when I'm going on a date. Coach Coney didn't just make me a great snapper, he made me into a great young man that now has confidence in himself to be successful." "I started working with Coach Conrey in the Spring of my 6th grade year in Middle School. After playing several positions in football, I knew to accomplish my dream of playing college athletics I needed to learn to Long Snap. My Dad found Coach Conrey for me and it was a true blessing. I didn't like the long drives at first from Georgetown to San Antonio, but eventually I looked forward to them to train. Under coaches' guidance he helped me achieve many accomplishments. I was chosen to play in the USA International Bowl 3 times, earn a Kohl's 4.5 star ranking and be ranked in the Top 50 Long Snapper class of 2022. With Coach Coney's coaching and guidance, I received 10 different college offers and with his advice have chosen Tyler Junior College to begin my collegiate career. "I joined Texas Long Snapping my sophomore year of high school. Compared to others, I got a late start on snapping, but Coach Conrey quickly taught me how to snap a football and directly helped me progress in my training. Coach Conrey has a total hands-on instruction approach, which helped me tremendously as I was able to become proficient in my skills almost immediately. TXLS’s intense and focused workouts helped me keep my snapping and general football training in line. Every Sunday I spent snapping I felt ready to take on another week of football workouts with full effort. Coach Conrey’s program is not just about snapping, but becoming a mentally-intense animal on the football field. TXLS allowed me to achieve great feats in sports, but in life beyond football. Using the mental tools taught in TXLS I was able to keep my priorities in line and achieve my goals in all aspects. Even out of high school, I am very grateful for the mentor relationship I still have with Coach Conrey and the TXLS program as a whole. I highly recommend to anyone that has an interest in becoming an outstanding long snapper to begin training with Texas Long Snapping, you won’t only become a great snapper, but a better overall athlete and success-driven individual." I am so glad to hear that you are continuing to share your wisdom and experience with coaches and young people alike. I remember when you helped a pencil-necked Center put on 30 pounds of strength, and taught him a unique skill set, that carried him forward in the all-star games and a good start to a successful college experience. You instilled confidence and love for snapping in particular and doing things right in general. Your success with me was due to the creation of invincible pride at never screwing up a snap and the fine art of knowing where it was going, laces ¼ to the right, at 14.5 yards. Telling the punters where the ball and laces would end up at any distance was fun. Knowing I could do it every time took away all fear and dread. I was a nuisance to place holders in college wanting results from every attempt. You taught me these things through your patience and demeanor. Thank you. Coach, been thinking about you a lot recently. I can’t wait to get back to work with you when I get home. All of my snaps have been perfectly on target so far, Coach Rocco has praised me and said that for my age, I’m the best snapper that he has ever seen! Because of that, he scooted my punter back to 15 yards. All of the snappers still in high school will realize how much you need everything you have taught us. The mental part goes long way. I’m going in against Kilgore JC ready and confident in myself. I thought I’d be nervous, but the breathing and self-talk help me a lot!
